RARE MITUTOYO 0-6 Rolling Digital Micrometer Set, Carbide. 0001 No. 193-925

Rare Set of MItutoyo, Model 193-925 Cased 0-6 Rolling Digital Micrometers made in Japan. These boxed sets are quite rare to find and this one had all the micrometers still in the original wrappers/plastic bags, The 4-5 had never even been opened! I have cleaned and inspected all the micrometers. All, except the 3-4 are in brand newcondition and show no signs of being used. Carbides, paint and metal finish are like new. Plastic bezels are also shiny with some dull spots from storage as shown. The model 3-4 also appears to be brand new, but there are micro scratches on the carbide tips to show some usage. Also the only standard that has the wax protection removed is the 3. Unlike the "Combimike" that Mitutoyo also manufactured that is similar looking though slightly larger to this model, these193 Series micrometers read the same inch units on the display as the thimble. The Combimikes measure mm on the digital and inch on the thimble. Note: When I removed the 4-5 micrometer from the unopened bag, I found a few touch-ups of silver paint on the back of the digital display housing. I assume these were done by the factory as otherwise the micrometer is in new condition. The case for this set has been restored due to damage to the exterior surface and interior foam.

A new coating of polyurethane has been applied to stabilize the peeling veneer. Very high quality restoration with care to clean all the hardware and keep all the items original as possible.
