This is from the high-accuracy line of Mitutoyo digital blade micrometers not to be confused with the cheaper version that only displays to 0.01mm. Vernier scale ensures that micrometer can still be used with a dead battery.

Blade anvil and spindle for measurement of groove diameter of shafts and keyways. Ratchet-stop mechanism helps provide uniform pressure for precise, repeatable measurement. The micrometers electronic microprocessor can hold measurements at any position, convert to absolute value, set a temporary zero position, and return to a true zero reading. The steel frame has a black, heat-insulated finish, and the thimble and sleeve have a glare-free, satin chrome rust- and glare-resistant finish. The micrometers knurled friction thimble and ratchet-stop mechanism provide uniform pressure during adjustment.

A spindle lock helps ensure quick spindle locking. The unit comes with an SR44 battery and a fitted plastic case.
