Mitutoyo 214-202 V Anvil Micrometer. 093-1 with. 200 Standard & Case Japan

Mitutoyo 214-202 V Anvil Micrometer. 200 Standard & Case Japan. I noticed the anvil has a groove which would be consistent with a non rotating spindle. The micrometer adjusts in and out as it should but the groove seems to lightly catch at points, not so much on loosening but noticeable on tightening. Other than that it appears to be functioning as it should and looks to be calibrated as shown with standard in photos.
